More seniors than you think are reporting that they wish they could age at home without any help. However, because of chronic
illness, forgetfulness and frailty, it can make living alone too difficult and even dangerous. If you are a family member and are watching from the side lines, we can provide assistance to your loved one. We want them to be in the comfort of their own home as much as they do. We still allow them to keep independence while still ensuring that they are safe. Having a full time live-in care giver can give you reassurance that your loved one is getting the care and assistance needed to live a happy and healthy lifestyle, including emotional support, and assisting in daily living activities.
Hourly & Live-In Care
Live-in care means that your loved one can stay in their home. Because they can stay in the security of their own home, their emotional well-being can increase. In addition, caregivers can personalize a care plan and tailor it to their conditions, lifestyle, and hobbies of interest. Families are able to SELECT your caregiver.
Every day, nearly 4000 Americans turn 85. When frailty, chronic illness or memory loss make everyday activities a challenge for these
seniors, our trained and certified caregivers offer security to seniors and peace of mind to their families. Our live-in and hourly care plans are flexible and customized to meet your home care needs.
Experts in Live-in Care
Home Care Assistance specializes in continuous care. Our founders researched, studied and authored a series of health and wellness books focusing on different topics related to aging. Their Handbook for Live-In Care serves as a resource for members of the senior care industry as well as families. A Home Care Assistance live-in caregiver will stay with your loved one 24 hours a day so that he or she is never alone. We typically assign a primary caregiver who provides care for four to five days a week and then a secondary caregiver who covers the remainder of the week.
Maximum Professionalism
Home Care Assistance live-in caregivers must maintain a separate residence and are permitted on the client’s premises only during their assigned shifts. They are strictly forbidden from using the client’s property, such as phone, television, or car for their personal use. They may neither have visitors nor invite family to the home while they are working.
Our caregivers can also provide companionship and monitoring for safety during hospital stays. We can even accompany older adults
on vacations, enabling them to travel in safety and freedom.
Care Away from Home
If you are planning a family vacation, we have caregivers that can travel with them to make sure everything they need is right by their side. We want them to be able to travel the world, that’s where we step in. We want them to have freedom. If they are in a hospital, we are able to stay and provide safety and of course companionship.
Family Peace of Mind
A dedicated Care Manager and Care Coordinator who personally know your case and the intricacies involved are available around the
clock and constantly in touch for continued care. Our caregivers keep care binders with notes in every client’s home so any updates or progress notes are recorded and accessible for you, your other family members, and doctors. We also offer complimentary quality assurance visits, updating you as often as you wish so you can rest assured that your loved one is in the best hands.
Experienced Caregivers
Home Care Assistance performs rigorous screening to find the most reliable and compassionate caregivers available. Before we even consider a caregiver for employment, they must prove prior in-home, senior care experience. In addition, to ensure the safety of your loved one, we run background checks through the Department of Justice on all our potential employees, including local and national criminal records, DMV checks and eligibility of employment verification. We even administer a psychological examination, developed by our founding Ph.D. psychologists, to test each caregiver for honesty and conscientiousness. All of our caregivers are bonded and insured and they are employees of Home Care Assistance, not independent contractors
